Rotary-Club in Zypern |

Laut Postinfo wurde der Rotary-Club am 23. Februar 1905 in
Chicago gegründet von einigen Idealisten, die für eine bessere Zukunft
eintreten wollten. Ihre Ziele waren "Wahrheit, Gerechtigkeit und
Freundschaft" und ihr Motto lautete "Work comes first"
(Arbeit zuerst). Heute (1979) gibt es 18 Tausend Rotary Clubs in 152
Ländern der Welt.
In Zypern wurde der erste Rotary-Club 1938 in Nicosia gegründet.
Gegenwärtig gibt es 6 Clubs in Nicosia, Larnaka, Limassol, Famagusta,
Paphos und Kyrenia, wobei die Clubs von Famagusta und Kyrenia in Limassol
und Larnaka tagen.
